About AdSmart In Ireland

In a market first, AdSmart from Sky can serve different ads to different Sky households watching the same programme

What is AdSmart?

AdSmart from Sky is the revolutionary approach to TV advertising which levels the playing field, so businesses of all shapes and sizes can benefit from the advertising impact of TV. With AdSmart different ads can be shown to different households watching the same programme. This means that Irish  brands and businesses can now advertise on national channels, but to relevant audiences.

There are a range of combinations to choose from when selecting the audience that sees your ad. Households can be selected based on factors such as location and life style. The data is derived from a combination of Sky’s own customer data and information from the consumer profile experts, Experian.

By allowing advertisers to cherry-pick their audiences the power of TV can now be used to greater effect by existing advertisers, whilst becoming accessible for the first time to niche brands, small & medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and location-specific advertisers in Ireland

Is AdSmart right for you?

If any of the below sounds like you then AdSmart could be the answer:

  • You want to use the most effective form of advertising to grow your business.
  • You want to speak directly to your relevant audience.
  • You want to restrict your advertising to a specific provincial or county region.
  • You want to increase sales and/or brand awareness.
  • You want to stand out against competitors.
  • You want your brands to be seen in a premium/talked about environment.
  • You only want to pay when your ad is seen, rather than just a few seconds.

AdSmart means your ad is shown to your chosen audience when they are watching TV so your ad could play out at any time. We understand that it’s good to know the sort of TV shows your ad might be shown in. The following channels are currently ‘AdSmartable’ with a very small number of programme exceptions.
